Stephanie del Valle of Puerto Rico is crowned Miss World 2016.
Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna of Spain relinquished her crown to the 19-year-old Puerto Rican model at the grand coronation held at MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland, USA, on Sunday night, December 18 (early morning of December 19 in the Philippines).
Miss Dominican Republic Yaritza Reyes was hailed 1st runner-up while Miss Indonesia Natasha Mannuela was named 2nd runner-up.
Stephanie del Valle replied: "If I have the opportunity to change something about the world, I think what I would do is send a message of how important it is to change exclusion for acceptance, to promote and provide justice for others, and the importance of helping those in need. Thank you."
The other semifinalists are Miss Belgium Lenty Frans, Miss Brazil Beatrice Fontoura, Miss China Jing Kong, Miss USA Audra Mari, and Miss Korea Hyun Wang.

Catriona Gray of the Philippines made it to the Final 5, along with Miss Kenya Evelyn Thungu.
Although it was not announced during the pageant, Catriona was actually the 3rd Princess while Miss Kenya was 4th Princess.
This was announced at the gala dinner after the pageant.
Q&A. Catriona may not have won the pageant's title, but the 22-year-old Bicolana beauty still impressed the judges and the crowd with her answer during the final question-and-answer portion.
Miss World 2015 Mireia Lalaguna asked the final question for Catriona: "Which qualities do you think it will take to wear my crown?" Catriona answered, "I think, first of all, it takes bravery. "To be a Miss World is to carry a burning torch, it is the action carried out by one to illuminate the lives of many and I would dedicate my whole self, my love for the arts, and my voice to try and uplift, empower, and educate people. "And it would be my greatest honor and duty to hold this torch high enough so that all the world could feel and see its light." Miss Puerto Rico was asked by Miss World 1975 Wilnelia Lady Forsyth, also from Puerto Rico: "If you have an opportunity to change something about the world, what would it be?" TOP 20. Early in the competition, the winners of the fast-track challenges were named.
Catriona was named Multimedia challenge winner, China's Jing Kong won the Top Model challenge, Cook Island's Natalia Short for the Sports challenge, and Mongolia's Bayartsetseg Altangerel was voted winner of Talent competition. Indonesia's Natasha Mannuela was announced as the Beauty With A Purpose (BWAP) challenge winner. Winners of the fast-track challenges secured a spot in The Top 20. The other quarter-finalists are Miss France Morgane Edvige, Miss India Priyadarshini Chatterjee, Miss Slovakia Kristina Cincurova, Miss Australia Madeline Cowe, Miss Thailand Jinnita Buddee, Miss Ghana Antoinette Delali Kemavor, Miss Japan Priyanka Yoshikawa, and Miss Hungary Tmea Gelencsr.
